Mike 'Radar' Geerlof

Mike 'Radar' Geerlof was a driving force behind the formation of the Weehawken Volunteer First Aid Squad as well
as a WVFAS Life Member.
Mike served as Squad Captain during the 1970s and 1980s. Mike also served the community as
a Lieutenant with the Hudson County Sheriff's Department.
Mike Geerlof passed away on February 19, 2003 and will be missed by all who knew him.

Monsignor Thomas Heck
|
Monsignor Thomas Heck was a valued member of WVFAS for 30 years, riding our ambulances as an Emergency Medical Technician and serving as the Squad's spiritual advisor. He also served the community as Pastor of Saint Augustine's Church starting in 1976. Monsignor Heck passed away on May 21, 2002 and will be missed by his church, the squad and the community.
The parishoners of St Augustine's have created a memorial web page for the Monsignor as well.

March 28, 1950 - August 27, 1999
Mike was a Life Member of the Squad and served on the Executive Board. In addition to his
WVFAS duties, he worked for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey as a Facility Operations
Agent and Supervisor at the George Washington Bridge.
